Orlando, thanks for your contribution! So if I get you right, your idea is to let go little GPS-trackable robot filter stations into the gyre, and to have a ship maintaining these robots and taking the plastic away from them?
Sounds like a real go...
Are you now searching nationally or internationally on organisations? As this problem requires an international cooperation, starting with the consumption of the plastic to the collecting of money to clean the ocean.

Attention to the issues today and to come. What we have learned from our mistakes to not repeat, make worse, or ignore. To provide ideas and SOLUTIONS IN ACTION.
We need to remember the simple movements we can make each day and how we vote with our actions and dollars every day. Say no to plastic bags, recycle, learn to clean without the harsh chemicals/toxins, eat local whole foods, etc.
